The Big Picture
Time Out has been serving the Roselands Community on the edge of Paignton since 2011. It was started up by the members of Roselands Community Church in response to local people saying that there was nowhere to meet with or even see other people from the local community throughout the week. With a couple of dedicated manager’s to oversee proceedings, Time Out relies on a team of volunteers to run the coffee shop throughout the week and a wider team to facilitate the numerous clubs and activities that are held here throughout each month.
Roselands Community Church is a small Baptist Church with a big heart; a heart wants to see life for those living within the community enhanced in many ways. You won’t get preached at when you come to Time Out, you might not even realise that a church has anything to do with the place. However, if you’d like to understand why we’re doing it, just ask.
Lyndsay has been the Time Out manager for two years. She has brought added colour and energy to Time Out. A smile awaits you the moment you step inside.
Jane is the master of multitasking, as she juggles numerous tasks behind the counter, producing perfect drinks and culinary delights seemingly effortlessly.
The A Team
Without our team of volunteers we’d be lost. Not only staffing the coffee shop but doing the laundry, cleaning, looking after the finances and so much more is done voluntarily
In it Together
A true community
If all you want is some space and to be left alone that’s fine. But if you’d like a bit of company and to meet some other local folk or even to serve them as a volunteer, you’ll find what you’re looking for here.
